The extra bins at the curb are an everyday sight in many communities across America. Most of us try to recycle something, whether it's newspaper, cardboard cartons or empty wine bottles. But the shocking truth is that these efforts represent mere lip service to the Three R's Credo: reduce, reuse, recycle. In fact, a whopping 80 percent of what we send daily to our landfills is actually recyclable material.
